GRATITUDE

God at Work weaves a Vedic chant and a Raga motif in spirals with computer music, composed by Arnab Bishnu Chowdhury. It was presented to leading computer music composers and researchers of New York City Electroacoustic Music Society (NYCEMS), New York University (NYU), 11th April 2014.

The composition was inspired by the following lines of ‘Savitri’, an epic poem by Sri Aurobindo which ‘speaks’ about Spiritual Transformation:

If God is at work, his secrets I have found.
But still the Cause of things is left in doubt,
Their truth flees from pursuit into a void;
When all has been explained nothing is known.

— Sri Aurobindo . Savitri . Book 7: The Book of Yoga . Canto 4: The Triple Soul-Forces . Lines 570-573
